The class content is prepared by Dr. Gilbert Houtekamer and Andries de Jong in cooperation with John Baker and John Ticic.
This class covers current I/O subsystem architecture for the zSeries processors running the z/OS operating system. This includes all aspects of I/O from the fundamental hardware architecture to the implementations provided by the various vendors, and from the hardware measurement facilities to the interpretation of the RMF and SMF measurement information.

Storage Performance Management for z/OS Disk Architectures (5 Days)
The class content is prepared by Dr. Gilbert Houtekamer and Andries de Jong in cooperation with John Baker and John Ticic. The class is offered at least once per year.
This class provides the knowledge needed to effectively monitor, diagnose and avoid performance issues with today’s advanced disk subsystems. You will learn about current and new metrics for today’s environment and what new methods can be used to assess and manage the performance and utilization levels of your disk subsystem hardware for your specific workloads. This knowledge is essential to understanding and reducing performance problems and improving the ROI of your disk hardware.

Storage Performance Management - Free One Day Class
The class content is prepared by Brett Allison and Dr. Gilbert Houtekamer.
A one-day course for all SAN disk storage system professionals such as storage performance specialists, storage managers, storage capacity planners, and storage architects. During this one-day class you will learn about the essential new storage-centric metrics and methods that can be used to manage the performance and utilization levels of today’s SAN storage systems. The class content is prepared by John Baker and Dr. Gilbert Houtekamer.
This course is intended to provide the audience with an overview of storage performance management, storage system architectures, data collection and measurement, analysis techniques and predictive modeling. The knowledge gained in this course is essential to implementing storage performance management using the IntelliMagic Storage Performance Suite.
