Brocade Partners with IntelliMagic to Optimize Storage Networking Environments

Brocade and IntelliMagic announced a strategic partnership that will help Brocade customers maximize the performance and utilization of their storage environments. Brocade will bundle IntelliMagic’s performance management and capability planning software tools into a Storage Performance solution that provides greater storage networking performance value to its global customer base.

SAN JOSE, Calif.—Mar 19, 2008— Brocade® (Nasdaq: BRCD), the leading provider of data center networking solutions that help enterprises connect and manage their information, and IntelliMagic, a leading provider of products for analysis and modeling of storage systems, today announced a strategic partnership that will help Brocade customers maximize the performance and utilization of their storage environments. Through this partnership, the Brocade Services, Support, and Solutions Division will bundle IntelliMagic’s performance management and capability planning software tools into a Storage Performance Solution offering that provides greater storage networking performance value to its global customer base.

Now a part of the Brocade Storage Performance Solution offering, IntelliMagic software tools for both tape and disk storage optimization are used in conjunction with Brocade SAN HealthCheck and FICON HealthCheck tools to track, analyze, and make architectural design recommendations for greater storage networking optimization and future build-out of IT infrastructure.
IntelliMagic’s predictive analytics and reporting capabilities provide superior visibility into I/O performance. In particular, the products monitor the usage of a storage system and predict bottlenecks before they occur, avoiding I/O performance issues. Brocade customers can use the software as part of the Brocade Storage Performance engagement and have the option to purchase and continue using the software tools for ongoing capacity planning.
